GYEN is an ERC-20 cryptographic token that is issued by GMOZ.com Trust Company Inc (*GMO Trust*), approved and regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services, and strictly pegged 1:1 to the Japanese Yen (*respectively*). GYEN is a stable value coin that combine the creditworthiness and price stability of the Japanese Yen with the technology and efficiency advantages of a digital asset and the oversight of U.S. regulators. GYEN is created at the time of withdrawal from GMO Trust’s platform and redeemed or “*destroyed*” at the time of deposit into GMO Trust’s platform.
